KUWAIT CITY, Mar 3: A 25-year-old man was apprehended by rescue personnel in Hawalli Governorate and subsequently handed over to the General Department for Drug Control after being found in possession of illegal narcotics. During a search, authorities discovered two Lyrica pills and a bag of shabu (methamphetamine) in his clothes. The suspect is now under investigation to determine the source of the drugs.
According to a security source, the incident began when the Ministry of Interior's Operations Department received a report about an individual behaving erratically and appearing disoriented while walking in the Hawalli area. A rescue patrol was dispatched to the scene, where they detained the young man. Upon searching him, they found the illicit substances in his possession. During questioning, the suspect admitted to having consumed a dose of shabu, which caused him to lose his balance and act abnormally.
The case has been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal action.
