KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: A domestic worker has been detained at a local police station following an incident classified as "attempted suicide." The incident may lead to her deportation, pending confirmation that there are no legal impediments to her removal from the country.
According to a security source, the Ministry of Interior was alerted to a suicide attempt by the worker at her sponsor's residence in Al Salam area of Kuwait. Upon receiving the alert, security patrols were swiftly dispatched to the scene where they found the expatriate with a self-inflicted hand injury.
Emergency medical services attended to her injuries at the scene before she was transported to a police station for further proceedings. The case remains under investigation, and her potential deportation will be considered once all legal and health checks are completed.
