Driver Crashes into Patrol, Flees with Companion; Narcotics Confiscated

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: Jahra police are investigating an incident where an unidentified individual driving a Korean vehicle deliberately crashed into a police patrol, causing damage to the patrol vehicle. The suspect, accompanied by an unidentified woman, abandoned the damaged vehicles and fled the scene on foot.

Upon inspecting the abandoned car, authorities discovered a bottle of imported alcohol, a bag of chemicals, and a used cigarette containing hashish residue. The substances were confiscated as evidence.

The Sulaibiya Police Station has contacted the General Traffic Department to identify the owner of the vehicle, who now faces multiple charges, including damaging state property, possession of narcotics, and endangering public safety. Investigators are also working to gather information about the woman who fled with the suspect.

A security source revealed that the incident began when a police patrol suspected the vehicle during a routine tour on the Sixth Ring Road. When instructed to stop, the driver refused, sped away, and suddenly stopped, causing the police patrol to collide with his car. The suspect and the woman used the moment to escape.

The vehicle has been transferred to the Sulaibiya Police Station for further investigation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
