KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: As part of the Public Security Sector's ongoing efforts to maintain order, the Ahmadi Security Directorate conducted a routine patrol in the Abu Halifa area. During the patrol, officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a routine check, but the driver ignored their commands and attempted to flee, running over the patrol leader in the process. Immediate support was called in, but the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. After a search and pursuit, Al-Ahmadi support patrols successfully apprehended him in the same area. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found bottles suspected to contain alcohol. The accused was arrested, and necessary legal measures were taken. He was referred to the relevant authorities for further action.
