Gang members with the seized drugs.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27, (Agencies): In a significant operation, a dedicated team of criminal investigation officers successfully thwarted the illicit activities of a notorious gang comprising seven expatriates, specializing in the distribution of narcotic drugs among young people. The crackdown took place in the Fahaheel area, where the culprits were apprehended red-handed with various narcotics in their possession.

The operation was initiated based on confidential information received by the criminal investigation unit, pointing to an individual promoting the drug "crystal meth" within the Al-Ahmadi Governorate. Acting on this intelligence, an undercover source was deployed, and an arrangement was made to purchase a quantity of the narcotic crystal meth. The operation reached a climax when, during the exchange, law enforcement raided the location, leading to the arrest of the primary suspect in possession of bags filled with illicit substances. Subsequent searches at the suspect's residence uncovered another bag containing heroin. Under interrogation, the suspect admitted his affiliation with a larger gang, comprising seven members, led by an individual known as "Mori." He disclosed that the narcotics were procured through an associate and distributed among gang members for sale.

Following extensive research and investigation, the gang leader was identified in the Farwaniya area. He was apprehended with a substantial quantity of "Shabu," meticulously packaged for sale in smaller quantities. Additionally, bags containing "hashish," "heroin," and drug paraphernalia were discovered at the scene.

Further interrogation of the gang leader led to the identification and subsequent arrest of five other members, all found in possession of various narcotic drugs. The apprehended individuals, along with the confiscated items, have been referred to the Public Prosecution as part of the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes. This successful operation highlights the commitment of law enforcement agencies to safeguard communities from the perils of drug abuse and criminal networks.
