Drunk Driving and Wrong House Entry Leads to Arrests

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: A 45 yr old Gulf national, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and alcohol possession on the Fourth Ring Road in Kuwait. The incident occurred when a patrol noticed a vehicle driving erratically. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered the driver in possession of a bottle of alcohol.

The suspect was taken to the headquarters of the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation. Interestingly, a small bottle of water which was replaced with imported alcohol was attached to the referral file.

In a separate incident, another individual under the influence of alcohol mistakenly entered a neighbor's house in the Al-Ardiya area. The Ministry of Interior received a report of a person in an abnormal state inside a residence. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the intoxicated individual had entered the wrong house due to his inebriated state. Further inquiry showed that the person was already wanted by the General Department for Drug Control.

These incidents highlight the strict enforcement of Kuwait's alcohol laws, which prohibit the possession, consumption, and public intoxication in the country. Penalties for violating these laws can include fines, imprisonment, and potential deportation for foreigners.
