KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport foiled an attempt by two Kuwaiti women to smuggle narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the women arrived at the Kuwait International Airport from Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. According to customs sources, one of them looked confused when they approached the inspection desk and they were subsequently searched by female officers. Officers seized from them 20 pills and referred them to the concerned authorities.Man caught drunk: Acting on information police rushed to an apartment in Hawalli and arrested a 44-year-old Syrian who was wanted by law for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, when the apartment was raided, the Syrian was high on alcohol, resisted arrest and attempted to hit a police officer working for the Criminal Investigations Department. However, he was overpowered, arrested and sent to the Central Prison.
