In the 2023 index, Dubai maintained its fourth position for the second consecutive year in the Cultural Interaction parameter, surpassing several major cities. The commitment to cultural enhancement aligns with Dubai's vision to be a global center for culture, creativity, and talent.
The GPCI, published annually since 2008, serves as a global benchmark for measuring the performance and competitiveness of cities. The index comprises parameters such as Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Livability, Environment, and Accessibility.
Dubai's progress within Cultural Interaction, including global rankings in the Number of Foreign Residents and Number of Luxury Hotel Rooms, highlights its cultural offerings, creative environment, and diverse tourist attractions. The index also acknowledges Dubai's excellence in work flexibility, low unemployment rate, cleanliness, and success in hosting global events and exhibitions.
Today, Dubai stands as a renowned global city in terms of economies, finance, business, tourism, and travel. With a diverse population of over 200 nationalities, Dubai fosters a tolerant and welcoming society, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations globally.
