Egyptian accused of assaulting traffic policeman KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Two employees of Al-Roya Center in Zahra area were detained for investigations over allegations of attacking a Kuwaiti citizen and insulting securitymen. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a quarrel in Zahra area, securitymen rushed to the location and found a Kuwaiti citizen lying unconscious on the ground. He was immediately referred to Mubarak Hospital where medical examination revealed bruises on his body. During interrogations of two employees of Al-Roya Center over the quarrel between them and the victim, they insulted securitymen due to which they were referred to Zahra Police Station for investigations. After a medical report was submitted to indicate the bruises on the victim, a case was filed against the two suspects. Meanwhile, a securityman working for the Hawalli Traffic Department has filed a complaint with the area police station accusing an Egyptian of assaulting him while he was on duty, reports Al- Rai daily. The incident occurred on the Fourth Ring Road opposite Jabriya area when the suspect was issued a citation. The suspect reportedly insulted the policeman, assaulted him got behind the wheel and escaped. The security man has submitted a medical report issued by the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.
