KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Meteorological Department has forecast that the country will be affected by a hot air mass on Monday, leading to a noticeable rise in temperatures. Active southerly winds are expected to reduce horizontal visibility due to dust, particularly in open areas.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, Acting Director of the department, Dharar Al-Ali, stated that a cold front is anticipated to move in by Monday afternoon, causing a shift to strong northwesterly winds. As a result, visibility may drop to less than 1,000 meters and could completely disappear in some regions due to heavy dust.
Al-Ali also warned of sea waves rising up to six feet and the likelihood of gradual dust accumulation. He noted that weather conditions are expected to begin improving by Tuesday morning, accompanied by a decrease in maximum temperatures.
He urged the public to stay informed by regularly checking weather updates via the department’s official website, mobile app, and social media platforms.
