Education Minister: Reviewing and developing curricula is a priority

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive review of curricula, aiming to align them with recent educational advancements. He expressed his commitment to prioritizing this initiative, given its vital role in enhancing the performance of the educational system.

According to educational sources cited by Al-Jarida, Al-Tabtabaei, in his first meeting with Ministry of Education leaders yesterday, conveyed his dedication to listening to their insights and supporting efforts to advance the educational system. He indicated that he would closely monitor each leader on matters within their respective sectors to understand specific challenges and work towards solutions.

The sources added that the Minister stressed the importance of preparing for distance learning (online) and ensuring all necessary resources are in place. He also underscored the need to equip teachers with everything required to carry out their educational mission effectively. Additionally, Al-Tabtabaei highlighted the importance of maintaining stability within the Ministry and filling vacant positions to ensure smooth operations across its various sectors.

In his first on-site activity, Al-Tabtabaei made unannounced inspection visits to three schools in different areas to observe the educational environment firsthand and understand its needs. He expressed his commitment to addressing field challenges and leveraging available resources to create a supportive educational environment that enhances learning outcomes and contributes to Kuwait’s development.
