KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: The Ministry of Education has officially launched the first phase of its new digital fingerprint system for tracking employee attendance and departure, as part of its push for digital transformation in employee management. This system, which utilizes the ministry's smart application, eliminates the need for traditional fingerprint devices, instead relying on modern technologies such as facial recognition and GPS geolocation to ensure accurate and secure data.
In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the first phase of the system is being implemented in the ministry’s general office, educational districts, and central administrations. The second phase will extend this system to all ministry employees, including school administrations.
The digital system simplifies attendance recording by allowing employees to log in and out using their smartphones, while also ensuring they are physically present at the designated work location through GPS tracking. The ministry emphasized that the system’s user-friendly interface offers high levels of security, with data encrypted to ensure privacy and accuracy.
Additionally, the system provides various departments with instant reports on attendance, departure times, and working hours, boosting transparency and efficiency in monitoring employee performance.
The Ministry of Education further explained that the goal of the first phase is to enhance the efficiency of operations within the ministry's general office, educational districts, and central departments. The second phase will extend the system to school departments, ensuring uniformity across the entire ministry.
The new system is expected to reduce operational costs, simplify administrative processes, and improve the sustainability of institutional work. It also aligns with the Ministry’s vision to provide a modern, efficient work environment for delivering administrative services.
