Kuwait City, 21 Oct: The opening ceremony of the 10th eGovernment Forum (EGOV10) kicks off today at 6:30 p.m. under the patronage and participation of His Excellency Mr. Fahad Ali Zaied Al-Shuala, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs. EGOV10 convenes in cooperation with the Central Agency for Information Technology.  

On this occasion, Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology, said, "We look forward to EGOV10 to support CAIT's digital transformation plans. At this stage, we are adopting the Cloud to connect all government information centers with homogeneous and effective computer infrastructure supporting our digital transformation plans. A CAIT expert will introduce CAIT's strategy regarding Cloud Computing in the State of Kuwait."

Eng. Bader Al-Salman, Chairman of the Federation of Engineering Offices and Consulting Houses, welcomed the holding of EGOV10 and said, "We extend our thanks and appreciation on this occasion to His Excellency Brother Fahd Ali Zayed Al-Shula, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs, for sponsoring the forum and attending the opening ceremony. We also thank Brother Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Acting Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology, for supporting EGOV10 and allocating a team to help prepare for the event. We hope that EGOV10 will achieve its goals, especially if it coincides with CAIT and Kuwait's Cloud and Kuwait digital transformation plans."

EGOV10 aims to keep pace with the State of Kuwait and the Central Agency for Information Technology's strategic direction towards adopting cloud computing to develop the information infrastructure, support e-government programs and engage in a world governed by advanced technologies. The forum also provides an ideal opportunity to discuss all challenges and develop available solutions to contribute to the transition toward Cloud computing.

 KFEOCH and Razen Events concluded by thanking all the organizations that contributed to EGOV10, particularly the strategic government partner, the Central Agency for Information Technology.
