CAIRO, Aug 7: The Egyptian Cabinet announced that all those who arrive in Egypt, whether by land, sea or air, are banned without conducting a PCR test. The council stated that the test results should be valid at-least 72 hrs on reaching Egypt.
The statement indicated an exception for Arab and foreign tourists coming with direct airlines to Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Matrouh airports.
It is forbidden to conduct tours for tourist from the governorates of South Sinai, the Red Sea and Matrouh to the rest of the governorates of Egypt without having PCR test conducted certificate stating that they are negative which results should be 72 hours before tour.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a statement that the aforementioned decision will be applied from 15th of Aug for foreigners "non-Egyptian" who come by direct flights to the aforementioned airports, as well as for transit passengers to those airports.
