KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: The Criminal Security Sector has successfully apprehended an Egyptian expatriate accused of embezzling over 300,000 Kuwaiti dinars from the Kuwait Aviation Services Company. This achievement was made possible by the efforts of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, which includes the Department of Combating Money Crimes and the Department of Interpol.

Following a directive from the Public Funds Prosecution regarding the search, investigation, and arrest of the suspect for forgery and document tampering, a specialized team was promptly assembled by the Anti-Money Crimes Department and the Criminal and Arab Police Department (Interpol). This team collaborated with authorities in the United Arab Emirates and the consulate to ensure the suspect's arrest before he could flee to his home country. The suspect has since been apprehended and extradited to Kuwait for further investigation and legal action.

The Ministry of Interior expresses its sincere gratitude to the Public Prosecution for their valuable cooperation, as well as to the swift and decisive response of the Emirati authorities in handling the incident. The necessary measures were promptly taken against the suspect upon his arrival in Kuwait, in adherence to Gulf and international agreements.
