KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Patron of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Kuwait, Archbishop Anba Bishoy Bigol, conveyed greeting on Eid Al-Fitr to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the government led by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait.

In his message, Father Bigol expressed his wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress, prosperity, and happiness, aligning with the nation’s modern civilizational vision. He also relayed the warm greetings of:
 - His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark (Egypt and the Diaspora).
 - His Grace Bishop Antonious, Metropolitan of Jerusalem, Kuwait, and the Near East.

Both religious leaders extended their prayers for Kuwait’s sustained growth and development under its wise leadership.

Celebrating Kuwait’s Spirit of Unity

Father Bigol remarked:

"I extend my warmest wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters for a joyous Eid celebration. The spirit of Ramadan in Kuwait has been truly inspiring—filled with ghabqas, diwaniya visits, and social gatherings that strengthen community bonds. These traditions break down modern-day isolation, rekindling human connections amidst our busy, technology-driven lives. Ramadan in Kuwait is not just a month of fasting, but a time of renewed energy, solidarity, and positivity."

He also highlighted how Kuwait’s multicultural society embraces shared traditions, noting:

"It is heartening to see Arab and foreign embassies, as well as expatriate communities, actively participating in Kuwaiti customs—reflecting a deep respect for the nation’s heritage and social legacy."

A Legacy of Love and Brotherhood

Father Bigol specifically acknowledged the Egyptian Coptic Church’s annual ghabqa, held for over 25 years under the slogan ‘Love’. He expressed gratitude to all participants, hoping such events continue to foster peace and goodwill in society.

"We pray that these celebrations return with even greater blessings, uniting humanity in harmony."
