Court upholds sentence for Kuwait Towers employee selling counterfeit tickets.

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: In a recent verdict, the Court of Appeal confirmed the severe penalties imposed on an Egyptian employee working at Kuwait Towers. The employee was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with hard labor and was dismissed from his position. Additionally, he was fined 58,000 dinars and ordered to return 29,000 dinars.

These penalties were enforced following his conviction on charges related to the illegal sale of counterfeit Kuwait Towers tickets. The court found that the employee had printed these tickets using an unauthorized external printing press, deceiving visitors by passing them off as genuine tickets. The verdict included a fine double the amount embezzled and mandated the return of the misappropriated funds.
