KUWAIT CITY, June 5: Two women – an Egyptian and a Syrian – engaged in a public brawl in Maidan Hawally causing bruises. In a press statement, the Interior Ministry disclosed its Operations Unit dispatched securitymen to the area after receiving information on the incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers pacified the feuding parties and took the women to the police station where an investigation was conducted. Investigation results revealed the two women are neighbors and the Syrian woman approached the Egyptian after finding out that the latter beat her son while he was playing with her children. On the other hand, a Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Nusra Police Station against her compatriot husband who allegedly beat her with a stick when they had an argument in their flat in Hawally. She attached a medical report to her complaint. The husband was summoned for questioning and other legal measures. By Meshal Al-Sanousi Al-Seyassah Staff and Agencies
