KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: The Criminal Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior, through the General Department of Criminal Investigations in the Capital Governorate, has arrested an Egyptian truck driver on charges of smuggling people into Kuwait in exchange for money.

Authorities received information suggesting that individuals had illegally entered the country. After confirming the accuracy of the information, a team from the Jaber Al-Ahmad Investigations Office successfully apprehended two individuals — one of Bangladeshi nationality and the other of unknown identity.

During questioning, the suspects admitted to entering Kuwait hidden in a truck transporting goods, for which they had paid a sum of money. Following further investigations, the driver involved in the smuggling operation was arrested and identified as an Egyptian national. The suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities for the necessary legal action.
