KUWAIT CITY, April 30: The Kuwaiti Crescent Sighting Authority declared on Saturday that tomorrow (Sunday) would be the last day of the fasting month of Ramadan and hence Eid Al-Fitr will fall on Monday. This was declared by the head of the Supreme Judicial Council and head of the legitimate crescent sighting authority, justice Ahmad Al-Ajeel, after a meeting of the authority. Judge Al-Ajeel addressed congratulations to Their Highnesses the Amir, the Crown Prince, citizens, residents of the country, Arab and Muslim nations on the occasion, hoping Kuwait would witness further progress and prosperity.
For his part, Minister of Justice, Minister of State for Nazaha Affairs, justice Jamal Al-Jalawi, also addressed felicitations, post the meeting, to Their Highnesses the Amir, the Crown Prince, the nationals and the expatriates, expressing good wishes for the homeland so it may witness further progress, amid heavenly blessings upon the dear homeland and the political leadership. The Amiri Diwan is pleased to convey the congratulations of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to citizens and residents on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, wishing them all a happy occasion. The Amiri Diwan seizes this blessed occasion to voice congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister on this occasion.
His Highness the Amir also wished it to be a happy festival for the nation and both Arab and Muslim worlds, and many happy returns of the occasion to the entire world in security and peace. His Highness the Amir on Saturday received a phone call from Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani who expressed congratulations on Eid Al-Fitr.
The Qatari Amir hoped that the happy occasion would recur with all goodness and blessing for the two countries, Arab and Muslim nation. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf thanked his Qatari counterpart for the gracious gesture that depicted depth of the Kuwaiti- Qatari relations, and reciprocated by expressing felicitations to the Qatari Amir on the Eid occasion. He also expressed good wishes to the Qatari Amir and his country.
His Highness the Amir on Friday received a phone call from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman. He expressed to His Highness the Amir his sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Fitr. His Highness the Amir also received a phone contact from Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, congratulating him on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr. In the phone conversation, the King of Bahrain wished His Highness the Amir good health and wellness, and hoped happy returns of the occasion for the two countries, and for both Arab and Muslim worlds. In reply, His Highness the Amir thanked the King for this good gesture that reflects the deep relationship between both countries and peoples, wishing him well and further progress for Bahrain and its people under his wise leadership.
