KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: Kuwait Municipality has announced that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity and Water, it has cut off electricity to 26 properties in the Khaitan residential area that were found to be occupied by 'bachelors' in violation of local regulations.

The municipality explained that this action aims to curb the spread of unauthorized bachelor accommodations in private residential zones. Before cutting off electricity, the municipality followed legal procedures, including placing violation stickers on the affected properties and issuing violation reports to the property owners.

The enforcement measures came after a thorough investigation confirmed the presence of bachelors in these properties, which led to the decision to disconnect their electricity supply.
