KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: In coordination with the official authorities in the State of Kuwait, and under the slogan ‘Kuwait seeks your safety’, the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait is launching an in-kind donation campaign aimed at collecting medical supplies, children’s and women’s necessities for Lebanon, says a press release issued by the embassy. For this purpose, the embassy will open its doors for three days, from December 6 to December 8, 2024, between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm to receive donations. These donations will be accepted strictly in-kind. The items that the embassy will collect include medications, medical disposables, baby food and milk, and hygiene kits for women. Those interested in contributing to the success of this campaign can drop off their donations at the embassy during the campaign period, from Dec 6 to Dec 8. The Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait has dedicated a special page on its official website with all related details for the campaign: www.embassykw.gov.lb.

This campaign comes amid the extraordinary circumstances Lebanon and the Lebanese people are facing due to the escalation of Israeli aggression since Sept 23. The conflict has claimed nearly 3,500 lives to date, left around 15,000 injured, and caused widespread destruction in numerous villages and towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. Entire neighborhoods in Beirut, Nabatieh, Tyre, Baalbek, and other major cities have been systematically destroyed, leading to the displacement of over 1.4 million Lebanese from their homes. The need for essential resources has dramatically increased.
