KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: Ice hockey fans will gather this evening at 6:00 pm at the Winter Games Club Hall to celebrate the career of Kuwaiti national team star Ahmed Al-Ajmi, who is set to retire after more than 32 years in the sport. The event, held under the patronage of former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ahmed Al-Shahoumi, will feature a friendly match between the Hockey Blues and the Gulf Stars in honor of Al-Ajmi’s remarkable contributions to Kuwaiti ice hockey.

While Al-Ajmi bids farewell to the rink today, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Kuwaiti players. Reflecting on his career, he expressed deep gratitude to everyone who supported him, acknowledging that while retiring was a difficult decision due to his love for the game, it was ultimately inevitable.

Al-Ajmi also praised his teammates for sharing his achievements and extended his appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Winter Games Club for their continued support. He specifically thanked Ahmed Al-Shahoumi for sponsoring the retirement festival, noting that his dedication to Kuwaiti athletes has always been unwavering.
