KUWAIT CITY, Jun 6: The Ministry of Commerce has implemented new regulations aimed at ensuring transparency and quality in the sale of meat products. According to the latest directives, butcheries and meat shops are now restricted from selling fresh and chilled minced meat unless the consumer is present and explicitly requests it. This measure is designed to enhance consumer confidence by allowing them to oversee the handling and preparation of minced meat products.

Furthermore, it is prohibited from including any additional fat that is not naturally attached to the meat when weighing and selling it to consumers. This regulation aims to prevent misleading practices and uphold standards of fairness in meat sales.

These measures underscore the government's commitment to safeguarding consumer rights and promoting integrity in the meat industry. By enforcing stricter guidelines, the Ministry of Commerce seeks to ensure that consumers receive accurate information and high-quality products when purchasing meat from butcheries and meat showrooms.
