Equestrian action heats up at Mesilla Equestrian Club

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The second round of the fourth edition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League Championship kicks off today at 8:00 am at Al-Mesilla Equestrian Club in Subhan. Knights from all local clubs will compete for a share of the total cash prizes, with 10,000 Kuwaiti dinars awarded to the winners of the first-place finishes.

The first day of competition will feature jumps at heights of 90, 105, 115, 125, and 135 cm. On Saturday, four more rounds will take place, with heights set at 110, 120, and 130 cm, along with the prestigious Grand Prix round at 140 cm.

Secretary of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Ghazi Al-Jariwi, highlighted that the coming months will see the organization of several international championships in the two-star and three-star categories, under the supervision of the International Federation. Al-Jariwi emphasized the Federation's dedication to continuing the development of Kuwaiti equestrianism.

The current board of directors, led by Masoud Jawhar Hayat, was elected by acclamation to guide the Kuwait Equestrian Federation for the 2018-2024 electoral cycle. Ghazi Al-Jariwi, who succeeded Kuwaiti international referee Nabila Al-Ali as Secretary, plays a pivotal role in the Federation's ongoing efforts.

The referees' committee is chaired by international referee Nadar Al-Mustafa and includes knight Raghad Al-Dubos and Ibtisam Al-Arouri. Course design is by Michel Esmalon, assisted by Muhammad Al-Saeed, while Dr. Yahya Al-Hadban and Badr Al-Haifi serve as arena referees.
