KUWAIT CITY, July 31: The Criminal Court sentenced a candidate from the Third Constituency and former MP Saadoun Hamad to two-year imprisonment with hard labor after being convicted of buying votes. During the trial session, Hammad was questioned about the allegation of mediating to purchase electoral votes in his favor.

Additionally, two female and one male workers from his campaign were questioned about assisting him in vote buying. A woman accused of accepting KD 1,000 in exchange for selling her vote, and a man accused of facilitating the purchase by renting her house for this purpose were also questioned. However, all suspects denied the charges.
