KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Dr. Essam Al-Rubaian, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), is actively working to fulfill the Civil Service Council’s mandate to prepare a comprehensive study aimed at identifying job titles suitable for Kuwaiti citizens in the private sector. Sources indicate that the Civil Service Commission has made significant strides in this endeavor, which seeks to enhance the participation of national professionals in the private sector as part of a strategic plan to develop the government apparatus.
The Commission is collaborating with relevant stakeholders to create a detailed study that will specify appropriate job titles for Kuwaitis across various private sector industries, as well as establish targeted localization percentages for those sectors. In terms of increasing the current localization rates, the assignment emphasizes the need for the private sector to adhere to specific quotas for national workers.
The study will focus on four key areas: hotels, tourism, cooperative societies, and private schools. Additionally, it aims to develop a plan to increase the employment rate of national cadres over the next decade.
It is important to note that the Civil Service Commission was tasked with preparing this study on June 13.
