KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The Public Relations Department at Kuwait Municipality has confirmed the continuation of the inspection campaign carried out by supervisory teams from the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in Hawally Governorate, according to the plan and timetable in this regard and in cooperation with the concerned government agencies like the ministries of Electricity and Interior, reports Al-Anba daily. The campaign resulted in cutting off power supply in seven properties housing bachelors in Salwa.

The department urged citizens and expatriates to cooperate with the concerned departments at the Municipality in reporting the presence of bachelors in private residential areas in order to take the necessary measures like eviction as per the law prohibiting bachelors from residing in these areas. It added the public can make such reports by calling the hotline number 139 or WhatsApp number 24727732, or by submitting a written complaint to the director of the Municipality branch in the governorate
