KUWAIT CITY, Sep 17: The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police referred an expatriate to the General Department for Drug Control after he was caught with 180 bottles of locally manufactured alcohol. According to a security source, the incident occurred during a routine patrol in the Al-Hasawi area when a suspicious car was spotted. The driver, upon seeing the police, attempted to pull over and later tried to flee but was quickly apprehended. The suspect, in his thirties, was found with the alcohol bottles and later confessed to making it in his apartment, selling each bottle for 10 dinars.
In a separate incident, Hawalli security patrols arrested a man in his forties found using drugs in a parked car in the Salmiya area. A security source reported that the suspect, upon noticing the police, also tried to flee but was detained. Officers found narcotics and drug paraphernalia in his possession, and he was referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
