Expat in Legal Trouble After Marijuana Found During Inspection

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 22: A routine inspection at a checkpoint led to the arrest of an expatriate in Sulaibikhat after he was found in possession of a bag suspected to contain marijuana. The man, who appeared visibly nervous when asked to present his identification, was searched by security forces from the Capital Security Department, resulting in the discovery of the substance. He was immediately referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation to determine the origin of the drugs. Additionally, he was sent to criminal evidence authorities for verification. A security source indicated that the expatriate could face deportation, with his name being added to the blacklist, preventing his return to the country if it is confirmed that he was not involved in drug trafficking or sales to users or minors.
