Expat Salesman Injured in Theft Incident, Kuwaiti Apprehended

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Criminal Investigation Department has resolved a case involving theft and violence with the arrest of the accused, a 24-year-old Kuwaiti man. The incident occurred when a 31-year-old expatriate salesman working at an electronic cigarette shop in Salmiya reported that an unknown individual in a vehicle requested two packets of electronic cigarettes. When the salesman handed over the items, the suspect allegedly closed his car window, trapping the salesman’s hands and dragging him several meters before reopening the window, causing the victim to fall to the ground.

After registering the case, a security source confirmed that investigators identified the suspect through vehicle details acquired from the Ministry of Interior’s database. During questioning, the suspect denied the charges, claiming that a dispute had occurred between him and the victim. However, the investigation concluded that the suspect took the cigarette packets and threw them out of the window. The case has been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
