KUWAIT CITY, July 23: An Egyptian expatriate advisor working at the Civil Service Commission has been deported following his arrest for drug-related offenses. The advisor and a companion were apprehended by Ministry of Interior personnel over the past weekend in an "abnormal state" and found in possession of narcotics.

According to the source, the General Department of Emergency Police patrols detained the advisor and his friend, who share the same nationality. Both individuals were discovered with a quantity of hashish and were subsequently tested at the General Department for Combating Narcotics, which confirmed they were drug users.

The advisor and his companion were then moved to deportation prison in preparation for their expulsion from Kuwait. Following these events, Diaa Al-Qabandi, the Undersecretary of the Civil Service Bureau, issued an immediate termination letter for the expatriate advisor upon receiving a report from the Ministry of Interior detailing the incident.
