KUWAIT CITY, Jan 5: A Kuwaiti citizen in his sixties has reported being scammed out of KD 5,000 by an expatriate, according to a complaint filed at a police station in Ahmadi Governorate. The citizen stated that the expatriate, claiming to be a merchant, proposed a business partnership and requested KD 5,000 to initiate a project. After receiving the money, the expatriate turned off his phone and vanished.
The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department, which has launched an investigation to locate and apprehend the accused expatriate. Authorities are working to uncover further details about the incident and ensure justice for the victim.
