KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: The Rescue Police apprehended two expatriates in the Mahboula area on suspicion of possessing and trading in alcohol. During a routine patrol, officers stopped the suspects, who were traveling in a saloon vehicle, and discovered 213 bottles of locally-produced alcohol and 260 Kuwaiti dinars, reportedly the proceeds from alcohol sales.
According to a security source, the suspects admitted to trading in alcohol during the investigation. They were immediately referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further legal action. Authorities continue their efforts to curb the illegal alcohol trade in the country.
