KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The Zain Premier League resumes today with a single match as Fahaheel faces Khaitan at Al-Bab Stadium in Ahmadi Governorate at 5:35 PM, marking the start of the tournament's second half. The league has been on hiatus since November 6 due to the Kuwait national team’s participation in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and Kuwait’s hosting of the "Khaleeji Zain 26", which concluded last Saturday.

Fahaheel, under Syrian coach Firas Al-Khatib, aims to extend its dominance over Khaitan after a 4-1 victory in the first half of the season. A win today would temporarily elevate Fahaheel to third place and secure its position away from the relegation zone. The team recently completed a training camp in Sharjah, UAE, but will miss key players Ahmed Al-Riyahi, Mohammed Naeem, and Abdullah Mawi due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Khaitan is eager to secure its second win in the competition and keep alive its hopes of qualifying for the "top-six" league stage.
