KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: The Investigation Department in Ahmadi Governorate has launched a manhunt for an unidentified individual who allegedly robbed an expatriate of 68 dinars. The victim, walking home in an Ahmadi area, was approached by a man claiming to be a detective who requested to see his ID. After the victim took out his wallet, the accused forcibly seized it and stole the 68 dinars inside. When the victim objected and tried to contact the Ministry of Interior, the suspect ran him over with his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The victim, suffering from fractures due to the intentional hit-and-run, was transported to Al-Adan Hospital for treatment. A case of mugging and deliberate running over has been filed against the perpetrator.
