A video of a giant octopus crushing a car's roof in a parking lot has been circulating on social media with a false claim that it happened in Qatar.
However, the Arab Times (Kuwait) found that the video is not real but was created by a CGI artist named Alex Z from Qatar who uses software to make animated visuals. The video shows a huge octopus entering a parking lot with a few cars around, climbing onto a white Range Rover, and crushing its roof with its long tentacles.

The video is being shared on WhatsApp with a caption that falsely claims it happened in Qatar. Arab Times ran a simple search on Google and found that the video appeared on a YouTube channel and an Instagram account belonging to Alex Z. The video was posted on September 25, 2023, and went viral. 

Alex Z replying to one of the comments on Youtube Shots mentions "Although some parts of the sim were challenging, the most time was spent on the compositing stage. I lost faith in AE for the past few years and did most of the stuff in Nuke, which is major change in my personal pipeline. AE started to remind me of Max with countless bloated plugins upon plugins that make the software crash because of incompatibilites when used together."

Conclusion
This never happened in Qatar, the heading was deceptive but the animation is good.
