WASHINGTON, March 6, (Agencies): A Kentucky high school, Oldham County High School in Buckner, experienced a temporary evacuation after the report of a "strong gas odor" on Tuesday morning, according to a statement from the Oldham County Police.

Around 11 am, the school's resource officer detected the strong gas odor, prompting the response of Oldham police, fire department, and emergency medical services to facilitate the evacuation of students and faculty.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that there was no gas leak. Instead, the strong odor originated from a liquid substance allegedly poured by a 17-year-old female student into two trash cans. The liquid was identified as "a non-toxic concentrated liquid product commonly advertised online for use in pranks," colloquially known as "fart spray" by Oldham County High School.

After the Oldham County Fire Department cleared the odor, students and staff were allowed to return to their classes. Despite seven students being evaluated for discomfort, they did not require medical care. The Oldham County Police Department stated that there is no additional information currently available regarding any other illness or medical conditions resulting from the incident.

The incident remains under investigation, and the Oldham County Police Department has indicated that no additional information will be released until the investigation concludes.
