KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Nasser Al-Badr, sentenced a father to life imprisonment for raping his daughter and her relative, in collaboration with another man who tricked the victim into having sex with him, reports Al-Seyassah Daily. The court also handed the same punishment to the other man.

 Attorney Adhbi Al-Kandari, the representative of the victim’s mother, said “We preferred to remain silent during the case’s hearing before the Criminal Court due to our absolute confidence in the integrity of the judiciary and our refusal to drop our client’s complaint so that the verdict of the judiciary will serve as a lesson to others who do not take heed.

Late last August, the Public Prosecution had ordered the pretrial detention of three Kuwaiti citizens, accusing one of them (the father) of raping his daughter in collaboration with another defendant in raping her. The Public Prosecution also accused her relative of kidnapping her by trickery and of participating with the third defendant in raping her and having sex with her by force and trickery.
