KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The Ministry of Interior has opened an investigation into the death of a Filipino migrant worker who was fatally injured after falling from the fifth floor of a building in Fintas, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the incident was reported to the police by an Egyptian caretaker of the building. A security source said when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report police and paramedics rushed to the spot and found the victim still alive and rushed her to the Adan Hospital.

She was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) but doctors failed to revive her. Police interrogations are continuing.

In the meantime, the remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. On the other hand, an Indian is said to have committed suicide by hanging inside a power transformer located next to a hotel in Mangaf. Acting on information police and paramedics rushed to the spot and saw the corpse of the man, born in 1994, dangling from a rope. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of suicide
