KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) has taken all necessary precautions to cope with incidents that may happen due to possible torrential rains and floods, an official of the department said on Wednesday. Brig Gen Mohammad Al- Mahmeed, the acting deputy director general for fight sector affairs, said in a statement that the firemen were ready to deal with any emergency round the clock. Special equipment, such as water sucking pumps and light rubber dinghies, have been prepared for the rain season, said Brig Gen Al-Mahmeed while examining the installations at the back-up center. Heavy rain in the past flooded lower parts of roads and locations across Kuwait. Meanwhile, Lieut Col Badr Al- Kadam, said in a statement that all fire departments and marine salvage centers are prepared to deal with any accidents at the sea. (KUNA)
