KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: Firefighters managed to control a blaze in a tire yard located in Ereeha area, Jahra Governorate, Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) said Tuesday.

The fire, damaging an area of 5,000 squaremeters, was put under control, preventing it from further spreading, affirmed a statement by the KFF. The force revealed no casualties were reported due to the incident and an investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Investigation conducted into the causes of the tire fire broke out in Erhayya area, in Jahra Governorate, earlier in the day, reached a conclusion that it was "deliberate", Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) said on Tuesday.

The investigation's teams started work at the site, whose area is about 5,000 square meters, and collected information on the blaze, the KFF's public relations and media department said in a statement.

The teams discovered that the incident was "deliberate", it added.
The relevant technical report will be prepared for submitting it to the concerned bodies so take required measures, Colonel Hassan Al-Mosawi was quoted by the department as saying.
