Flag-raising ceremony symbolizes Kuwaiti unity, strengthens national solidarity

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6:  Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, stated on Wednesday that the flag-raising ceremony held on the occasion of Kuwait’s national holidays symbolizes the unity of the Kuwaiti people. It reflects the values of belonging, and cohesion, and strengthens the spirit of dedication and commitment to serving the nation.

This statement was made during an event organized by the Social Welfare Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs to raise the flag, marking the 64th anniversary of National Day and the 34th anniversary of Liberation Day. The event was attended by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Welfare Sector Dr. Jassim Al-Kandari, as well as representatives from official bodies, school students, workers, and beneficiaries of the sector.

Dr. Al-Huwailah emphasized that the flag-raising ceremony is more than just an annual tradition. It serves as a renewal of the pledge to work toward preserving Kuwait's prosperity and stability. The occasion also provides an opportunity to reinforce national values and a sense of belonging among future generations.

She expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, praising the efforts of workers and volunteers who helped organize it. Dr. Al-Huwailah highlighted that teamwork and national solidarity are key to building a brighter future for Kuwait.

In his remarks, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi emphasized that this national occasion reflects unity and community solidarity, underscoring everyone's commitment to Kuwait’s path of development and prosperity.

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Welfare Sector, Dr. Jassim Al-Kandari, also addressed the gathering, noting that the social welfare sector carries both a humanitarian and national message. He highlighted the sector’s efforts to support beneficiary groups and integrate them into society.
