KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Official working hours in Govt. offices, agencies, and ministries during Ramadan 2025 will once again be "flexible," with adjustments made for both male and female employees. The system will maintain 4 and 1/2 hour workdays, but females can reduce their workday to 4 hours if they wish to take advantage of two 15-minute grace periods at the beginning and end of their shifts. Males will be eligible for only one 15-minute grace period, either at the beginning of the day or at the end.
Sources also confirmed that the benefits introduced during Ramadan 2024, such as allowances for late arrivals and additional leave hours, will continue in 2025. This follows the implementation of flexible working hours last year, which permitted employees to start their workday within a flexible time window. In 2023, the workday was split into three 4.5-hour periods, and similar accommodations are expected in the upcoming year to support employees during the holy month.
