KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Minister of State for Municipal and Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari issued a ministerial circular on Monday instructing Kuwait Municipality employees who hold the title ‘judicial police’ to present their work identification card and specify their capacity when carrying out the work assigned to them. The circular warned that disciplinary measures will be taken against anyone who violates it.
Al-Mishari also instructed the acting Director of the Municipality Manal Al-Asfour to strictly issue a directive to the employees to comply with the circular. He also asked Al-Asfour to quickly take the necessary measures to activate the surveillance cameras whenever the judicial police perform their work in order to protect their rights and that of others, ensure the integrity of procedures, boost community confidence, and enable them to control and document violations.
