KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement urging citizens to refrain from making fake reservations to obtain travel visas to Schengen countries. Such practices not only hinder the visa application process but also lead to rejections by the relevant embassies.

Citizens urged to steer clear of fake Schengen visa reservations, Foreign Ministry warns.

In the press release, the Ministry emphasized the importance of dealing exclusively with accredited offices through the relevant embassies' official channels. Citizens are advised to access the official websites of embassies and avoid engaging with any unaccredited offices or intermediaries.

Furthermore, the Ministry highlighted the significance of submitting visa applications well in advance of the travel date and adhering to the timelines specified by approved offices for visa issuance. It is essential to ensure that all required documents are prepared and presented correctly to avoid any delays in processing.

Citizens are also urged to stay updated with bulletins issued by relevant embassies regarding visa procedures and to seek information only from official sources.

In case of emergencies occurring abroad, citizens can avail themselves of assistance by contacting the Ministry's emergency numbers, which operate 24/7. Additionally, a call service center number is available for citizens both within and outside the State of Kuwait (+159 965).
