Four Arrested in Hawally for Assaulting Detectives and Damaging Vehicles

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: A family dispute escalated into an assault on two detectives and a vehicle collision in Hawally, leading to the arrest of four individuals, including a woman, all of whom were referred to the Public Prosecution on charges of assaulting a police officer and damaging vehicles.
According to security sources, the incident occurred during an evening patrol by the Criminal Investigation Department in Hawally, as part of the General Department of Criminal Investigations' ongoing efforts to apprehend wanted individuals and outlaws.

During the patrol, the first suspect was seen walking in a white dishdasha stained with blood and standing next to a car driven by the second suspect. As detectives approached to investigate, they noticed a woman asking for help. When they introduced themselves as detectives, the first and second suspects, with the assistance of a third accomplice, attacked the officers.

In the chaos, the third suspect attempted to flee, colliding with the detectives' vehicle and several other cars before escaping. The first and second suspects were apprehended, along with the woman, and taken to the Hawally police station. It was discovered that all three were Bedouns and involved in a family dispute. The woman, who was the mother of the second suspect, had gone to the scene because her son had been missing for several days. The first and third suspects, who are brothers, were involved in the altercation.

The third suspect was located and arrested within 24 hours. Following the initial investigation, both the first and second suspects admitted to assaulting the detectives. A case was filed for the assault on the two officers, as well as for the collision and damage to other vehicles.
