TUNIS, Dec 12: The Kuwaiti girls' rhythmic gymnastics team has made a strong impression at the Mediterranean Union Championship, currently underway in Tunisia, with four players advancing to the finals of the competition.

Raya Al-Qassar secured a spot in the ribbon performance final after earning third place in her group. Similarly, Sarah Al-Bannai advanced to the hoop performance final, also finishing in third place. Layan Behbehani qualified for the scepter final with a commendable fourth-place finish, while Nabila Al-Kharafi excelled in the ball performance category to book her place in the final. Despite a graceful display in the hoop competition, Amina Al-Kandari's fourth-place finish fell just short of qualification.

In a show of support, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia, Mansour Al-Omar, visited the team delegation at the competition venue. The ambassador praised the gymnasts for their efforts and encouraged them to strive for top positions, aiming to raise the Kuwaiti flag high in this prestigious international event.
