Fraudulent Website Claiming to Offer KD 50 Financial Aid
Central Bank of Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 25: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has strongly denied the validity of claims circulating on social media about a website allegedly distributing financial support. In an official statement, the bank clarified that it has no connection to the website and warned the public against engaging with it. The misleading website falsely claims that the CBK is providing financial aid of 50 Kuwaiti dinars to every individual currently residing in Kuwait, including both citizens and expatriates. It also prompts users to take a survey to determine their eligibility for the supposed support. The CBK has categorically stated that no such initiative exists and urged individuals to avoid sharing personal or financial information with such fraudulent platforms.

Furthermore, the bank reaffirmed that it will never request disclosure of personal or financial data from the public. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious attempts to defraud individuals under the guise of government financial assistance. The CBK also advised the public to rely only on official sources, such as its website (www.cbk.gov.kw) and verified social media accounts, for accurate information.
