KUWAIT CITY, April 17: A Kuwaiti citizen recently approached the Kuwaiti embassy in a Gulf country, where he currently resides, requesting to formally renounce his Kuwaiti citizenship. He claimed to hold dual nationality, possessing both Kuwaiti citizenship and that of the Gulf country in question. The individual justified his request by stating that he was acting under announcements made by Kuwaiti officials and wished to comply with the law.

However, upon reviewing his documents and conducting an investigation through the Nationality Investigation Department, authorities discovered that he was not, in fact, a dual citizen. Instead, it was revealed that his Kuwaiti citizenship was fraudulently obtained. The investigation further uncovered that the individuals he claimed as his brothers in Kuwait were not related to him, and that he had been falsely added to their father's citizenship file. According to the sources, this individual, who attempted to present himself as a dual national, has a total of ten people listed under his file. All of them are now subject to the revocation of their Kuwaiti citizenship, as it was acquired through fraudulent means.
